P.A. 2 / S.O. 2.1 No. 416 – Small Scale Project
CAVES
Project acronym
Speleological Tourism Development in the Southern Adriatic Area
Project Summary

In the Adriatic area the existing speleological heritage has only been partially discovered and studied. This is the main challenge of CAVES project, that aims to foster the speleological tourism sector, in order to promote show caves through planning two new itineraries and creating a cross-border network to exchange experiences, skills and good practices, mainly related to the use of natural cavities. Workshops and incoming initiatives in the speleological tourism sector will be carried out, so as to create transnational networks between key operators. As expected result, CAVES will promote the implementation of common action plans for smart management of tourist destinations, to be adopted by  public authorities in the Programme area.
